Ingredients Cake

2 cups granulated sugar

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup Hershey’s cocoa

1 ½ tsp baking powder

1 ½ tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 eggs

1 cup milk

½ cup vegetable oil

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water

Ingredients Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

½ cup butter (1 stick)

⅔ cups Hershey’s cocoa

3 cups powdered sugar

⅓ cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 8oz block of cream cheese

Instructions

Chocolate Cake: Pre-heat your oven to 350°F. Add all the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl (Sugar, all-purpose flour, Hershey’s cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt). Next, add the wet ingredients to the mix (eggs, milk, oil, vanilla, and water). Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water. (Batter will be thin). Pour the batter into two 9-inch pans greased with Baker’s Joy cooking spray and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until cake tester stick or a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let your cake cool for 10 minutes, then transfer from the pans to wire racks. Allow them to cool completely, then Frost with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting: Melt your butter. Stir in cocoa, then alternately add powder sugar and milk, beating to spread consistency. Add a small amount of milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla, add cream cheese, then blend with a mixer until all ingredients are blended well. This should make about 2 cups of frosting.
