Unexpected Friendship at Hope Inspired Ministries

Daniel and Torrez
Daniel and Torrez both were hired as full-time employees after completing the HIM Program!

Friendship can be found in the most unlikely places if you’re willing to open your heart! Aldemar and Daniel have very different backgrounds, but common ground was found as they embarked on a journey of change at Hope Inspired Ministries (HIM) with the first class of 2020. One had many doubts about God and issues with trust after years of decisions that caused him to be isolated. The other had a great support system through his church, but lacked the skills necessary to sustain a job and was seeking help to better himself and become independent. Through their time at HIM, they learned to stay focused, disciplined, and to create healthy relationships. A special bond was formed after the two talked and found things they had in common. Daniel stated that he found inspiration through Aldemar when he learned of the many obstacles that he had to overcome to get to this point. In his graduation speech, Aldemar said, “God has always put special people in my life to help me. Even though I can’t physically see Jesus, I can see His work, even in the midst of the worst storms.”

Two different men, one from Montgomery, Alabama and the other from Columbia, South America, found their way to a program that has given them opportunities they didn’t think possible. Both completed successful internships with local companies and were hired as full-time employees through the HIM program! Graduation for Class 5 of the Birmingham campus will be held on Tuesday, October 20th, at 6 p.m., at The Healing Place in Trussville. †
