Party at the Parks Celebrates Foster Families
On Saturday, May 6, make plans to join Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries (ABCH) for our third annual Party at the Parks event! Come enjoy for FREE, inflatables for all ages, photos with fairytale princesses and superheroes, face painting, yard games, snow cones, music, and popcorn. We are looking forward to celebrating our foster families while also raising awareness about the needs of children in foster care in the Birmingham community and sharing ways you can help!
One of our foster moms and volunteer event organizers, Heather Hancock, shares,
“Party at the Parks (PATP) has quickly become a family tradition my kids look forward to. They love the idea of being able to run around barefoot, hopping from one inflatable to another while being loaded up with snow cones and popcorn. And I love it for the community. It’s always refreshing to be reminded that as foster parents, we are loved, valued, and not in this alone, and PATP is an afternoon of just that.”
Party at the Parks is brought to you by ABCH’s Birmingham Regional Advisory Board, a volunteer group of young leaders. If you would like to learn more about ABCH or give to our ministry, there will be opportunities to do so at the event. If you have any questions about the event or if you are interested in becoming an event sponsor, please email us at [email protected]. We hope to see you there, and for your comfort, feel free to bring folding chairs or a blanket!
