Ingredients

“Don’t overbake. This cake is best when slightly fudgy in the center.”

Cake

Chocolate Brownie Cake1 box chocolate cake mix

1 box brownie mix

5 large eggs

1 ¼ cups milk

1 cup oil

3–4 tablespoons sour cream

Chocolate Glaze

¼ cup milk

¼ cup butter

3 cups powdered sugar

¼ cup cocoa powder

½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Cake

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a bundt pan or 9×13 baking dish. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and brownie mix. Add eggs, milk, oil, and sour cream. Mix until smooth and well combined, but do not overmix. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow the cake to cool slightly before adding the glaze.

Chocolate Glaze

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine milk and butter. Stir until melted. Whisk in cocoa powder and powdered sugar until smooth. Add chocolate chips and continue stirring until melted and glossy. While the glaze is still warm, pour it over the cake to create a rich drizzle. Let it set before serving.
