Ingredients

“Cathedral Windows is a bar version of those classic holiday cookies that look fancy and colorful like a church’s stained-glass window. My shortcut version skips the sticky, messy rolling of the old-fashioned Church Window Cookies. Instead, you simply spread the chocolate and marshmallow mixture into a pan, sprinkle with coconut, if you like, and chill until firm. It’s the same colorful, nostalgic treat, just quicker and easier to have the option to add coconut or not.”

Cathedral Cookies1 (11.5 ounce) package milk chocolate or (12 ounce) semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup butter (1 stick), cut into 4 pieces

1 (10.5 ounce) package multi-colored mini marshmallows

1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut (optional)
