What to Wear for the Holidays

This holiday season, fashion is what you make of it. We will still see the 70s influence that was heavy this summer, some 80s punk, and the tried and true classics.  As you start shopping for your wardrobe and picking out what to wear to Christmas parties, here are a few tips to keep you looking your best.

  • Furs: A good fur is a staple in your wardrobe. Look for something classic that can be dressed up for a cocktail party or dressed down for a date night. Classic colors of black or camel pair with just about anything. For cut, I recommend going with a vest or wrap.
  • Textures: Look at jackets and vests in leather and suede to pair with sheer, lace pieces and denim. You will also see quite a bit of velvet this year. Grab a cocktail dress in black velvet and pair with your fur for the perfect look at your next party.
  • Metallic & Patterns: Pair a baroque metallic skirt with a basic black top for showstopper cocktail ensemble. For a more casual outfit, look for Breton stripes, a European staple, in a metallic. You are sure to feel like you are celebrating the season at a café in Paris.

Incorporating these trends into your already fabulous wardrobe will have you ready for any party and looking like the belle of the ball.
