The Untouchables

Publisher’s Note

“The fear of the Lord leads to life; then one can rest content, untouched by trouble.” Proverbs 19:23 NIV

This verse imparts a powerful promise to us: When we place our trust in God, peace follows. We can rest content regardless of the circumstances this world brings.

Better yet? God promises us that in this state of trusting Him, seeking to honor Him, we will be “untouched by trouble.” God doesn’t say we won’t face troubles, in fact Jesus told us we would (John 16:33), but in those moments of “trouble” we can cling to the promise that we will not be permanently scarred. He has overcome the world! We have His powerful peace that surpasses all understanding. When fear tries to creep in and “troubles” try to steal our precious peace, by His Spirit we can turn our attention back to Him and embrace life with Him, “untouched by trouble!”
