Education Extra
Marion Sides rings original bell from Thompson High School, 1921, at the recent opening of the new Thompson High School. The bell was gifted to Sides in 1958 and she donated it to Alabaster City Schools at the High School grand opening. Sides taught at Thompson Elementary for 30 plus year and volunteered as a tutor at the school for another 8 years.
