Ingredients

Lunch Lady Brownies1 cup melted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 large eggs

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

Icing

1/4 cup softened butter

1/4 cup milk (whole or 2%)

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add cocoa powder and vanilla extract, then beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in flour and salt until just combined. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. While brownies bake, make the icing. In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, milk, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy. Once the brownies come out, let them cool for about 10 minutes, then spread icing over warm brownies so it melts into the top.  Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
