Love seafood? Love steak? Check out the new sophisticated yet casual Grille 29 at Brookwood Village. ”Grille 29 is an upscale casual venue featuring cuisine to please every guest’s palate,” states Barry Abes, General Manager of Grille 29. “We look forward to providing Birmingham with sophisticated sizzle and the ultimate dining experience.” The restaurant offers dining on its main floor as well as on a beautiful outside patio. The restaurant also offers a private banquet room that accommodates up to 80 people and is fully equipped with a 70″ monitor and audio/visual connections for presentations, slide shows and programs.
Grille 29 is owned by Orlando based Restaurant Partners, Inc., a 23-year old operations and consulting company. “We own and operate our own brands, including two Grille 29 restaurants in Huntsville and Birmingham. We also are a licensee of Sloppy Joe’s out of Key West and run other operations throughout the Southeastern U.S.,” explains David Manuchia, President of Restaurant Partners, Inc.
The company’s first venture in Alabama was the opening of Grille 29 in Huntsville nine years ago. “We’ve been fortunate to be well accepted in the Huntsville community and have won many awards with the Grille 29 concept,” says Manuchia adding that guests from Birmingham visiting Grille 29 in Huntsville spurred the company on to find a restaurant venue in the Magic City. “We have a nice base of regulars [from Birmingham] that are familiar with the food and service we offer at Grille 29, and when the Brookwood location became available, we felt the location, size and demographic fit our concept and we made it work.”
