Wings of Hope Gala

Each year in November, something truly special takes flight in Birmingham, Alabama. The Wings of Hope Fundraising Gala was born from Elaina Burt’s two greatest passions—aviation and epilepsy advocacy—and has become a powerful tradition that uplifts, honors, and unites the community.

​What began as a vision has now become a movement. For the past three years, over 200 guests have gathered at the Southern Museum of Flight for an unforgettable evening filled with purpose. Through corporate sponsorships, a thoughtfully curated silent auction, media coverage, and unwavering community support, Wings of Hope has raised over $101,000—making Charlie’s Chance the largest individual fundraising contributor to the Epilepsy Foundation in the nation. Each gala is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of epilepsy warriors like Elaina’s cousin, Charlie Mae, whose strength continues to inspire. Learn more here.
