Navy’s 250th Birthday Celebration

On Monday, October 13, at 1:00 p.m., the American Village will honor one of the nation’s oldest military institutions with a special cake-cutting ceremony celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States Navy. The event, open to the public, will blend history, remembrance, and family-friendly activities in a way only the American Village can. As our nation approaches its own 250th Birthday on July 4, 2026, this milestone anniversary of the United States Navy is one of many semiquincentennial events that will be celebrated across Alabama and America in the months ahead.
