Maundy Thursday at VHBC

Join Vestavia Hills Baptist Church for dinner in the fellowship hall and a Maundy Thursday service in the Sanctuary. Adult dinners are $7.50/person, and children’s dinners are $5.00/person. Preschoolers and college students eat free.

This day commemorates Jesus’s last supper with his disciples. During that meal in the upper room, Jesus washed his disciples’ feet and gave them a new commandment: “Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another” (John 13:34). The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin mandatum, meaning “command.” We hope you will join us as we remember this last supper before Christ’s sacrifice for us.
