“Healthy Hearts for Horizons” fundraiser for Horizons School

Come celebrate the successes of our students with special needs as they show off their healthy cooking skills on Fri. June 16!

This event will be a cooking competition among our students and they will be competing for prizes. They are proud of what they learned about healthy cooking this year, so we’ll be going out to Jeff State’s Culinary Institute on Valleydale Road to prepare appetizers for guests and Celebrity Judges.  Jeff State Culinary students are helping them as they work in the 6 kitchens. We will have 6 teams and guests will be able to watch the students prepare the food through the windows.

Following the competition during the reception, we’ll have dinner, provided by Taziki’s Mediterranean Café and a ‘live’ auction with some exquisite items, such as a Photo Safari to South Africa!  Buy your tickets today at www.horizonsschool.org/healthyhearts!
