Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting at Collectivus Church

Collectivus Church is hosting its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Sunday, December 5, 2021, during the 10:45 a.m. service!

Collectivus spent over 1200 volunteer hours restoring the historic building previously occupied by Baer’s department store located at 8271 Highway 31 in the Historic Main Street District of Downtown Calera. Early on, Collectivus Church realized it didn’t want a building that sat empty six days a week so they asked the question, how could this space be best utilized, and their answer was events, which is ultimately two-fold. The building will also be known as Collectivus Event Center to be open for special community events like city, school, and Main Street functions, at no charge, as well as being available to be booked for paid events such as weddings, parties, and corporate functions.
