Are We There Yet Smoke on the Falls 16 artworkBeautiful Noccalula Falls in nearby Gadsden is the setting for a fabulous weekend of great food, music, arts and crafts and more! Smoke on the Falls BBQ Competition and Festival is April 8 and 9 at the Noccalula Falls Campgrounds. Enjoy free admission on Friday from 4-9 p.m. Bring your cushions and cooler and enjoy Bluegrass at its best with The Foggy Hollow Review 6-8 p.m. On Saturday, the day begins with the annual Gadsden Regional Smoke your Buns 5K. Run through the smooth and rough terrain of Noccalula Falls while the sweet smell of BBQ fills the air! You can register as late as April 9 and the entry fee ($30) includes a t-shirt.

If you are looking for one more activity to add to your day at Noccalula Falls, check out the Miniature Golf and Park including a petting zoo, pioneer village and train rides which will all be open during the festival weekend.

Smoke on the Falls gates will open on Saturday at 10 a.m. The entry fee to the festival is $8 for adults, $5 for ages 4-12 years and all those 3 and under get in free. Admission includes a Kids Zone with inflatables and games, a free BBQ Sandwich, and live music featuring Mother May I with Peanut and Rush 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and the Shane Givens Band 2-4 p.m. Stick around for the Smoke on the Falls BBQ awards ceremony taking place at 4 p.m. where over $14,000 will be awarded.
