Area Youth Share Stories of God at Work: Vote for Your Favorite!

159 area high school seniors recently shared with us how their Christian faith has impacted their decision making during their high school career. Each student shared these details with us in an essay they submitted as a part of the 5th annual Birmingham Christian Family(BCF) Scholarship program sponsored by the American Village, The Center, and Vulcan Termite and Pest Control.

WOW! What great stories these students have to tell about God at work in their lives!

With the help of an independent panelist of judges, five students will be chosen as finalists for three college scholarships this year. Our essay winner will receive a $2000 scholarship and our two runner ups will each receive a $500 scholarship. Scholarships may be used at any college or university. All five finalists will receive a copy of Richard E. Simmons, III’s book, College with No Regrets, Wisdom for the Journey.

On Monday April 3 at 7 p.m. we will announce our finalists on Facebook and Instagram. You have the opportunity to read these students great stories April 4 through 14 and help us select our scholarship winners! Voting ends Friday April 14, 2023, and winners will be announced on Tuesday April 18 at 7 p.m. on Facebook and Instagram. Winners will also be recognized in our May issue and at the Birmingham Baron’s Baseball Faith and Family Night on May 12, 2023!
