Young adults in our community who have intellectual and developmental disabilities recently benefited from the generosity of the Prince of Peace Knights of Columbus Council 11537. Grand Knight Jeff Allen presented a $600 donation to Lindy Cleveland, Executive Director of UnlessU, a nonprofit organization in Vestavia that offers young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities a university-like atmosphere at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. UnlessU serves these adults and their families through continuing education, life skills, and social skills and creates an environment that promotes independence. The Knights are also committed to serving those in the community with intellectual or developmental needs and this is one of the many charitable donations and outreaches that the council does every year. †
