By supporting these schools and organizations, we’re helping more young people gain access to the tools they need to foster healthy, respectful relationships and learn the necessary skills to hold their peers accountable for unhealthy relationships before they escalate to abuse,” Meredith Montgomery-Price, Executive Director says. These grants will fund initiatives aimed at equipping young people with the knowledge and skills to foster healthy and respectful relationships. Schools and nonprofits utilize evidence-based programs which are nationally recognized. The Megan Montgomery Foundation grants empower the organizations to hire part-time staff to coordinate and deliver the programs and is the only nonprofit organization in Alabama that is 100 percent focused on primary prevention with funding to make it happen.
