DESCRIPTION:See You at the Pole 2023 “Wholehearted\,” the Annual Global Day of Student Prayer\, is Wednesday\, September 27. All around the globe\, in every time zone\, millions of students will meet at their school’s flagpole for a time of prayer for the 33rd Annual See You at the Pole (SYATP). SYATP is a student-initiated\, student- organized and student-led event. \n\n\n\nSYATP is about one simple thing – students in prayer. Before school\, thousands of students locally meet at their school’s flagpole in prayer for their friends\, families\, school\, city\, state and nation. This year’s SYATP emphasis is “Wholehearted\,” taken from Jeremiah 29:13 in the Bible. \n\n\n\nFirst Priority will once again coordinate SYATP efforts for Greater Birmingham through: awareness – print\, web\, social media\, TV and radio; students gathering at their school’s flagpole on the morning of September 27 to pray for their school\, teachers\, classmates\, community\, and our nation; and community rallies\, planned by local First Priority student volunteers and adults\, that will be held on the evening of September 27.

DESCRIPTION:Christ the King Lutheran Church is hosting the 3rd Annual Fall Arts Festival fundraiser in Hoover on September 16\, 2023 from 9 am – 5 pm. The Festival aims to showcase local artisans of original handmade work and raise funds for Built for the Wild(B4TW)\, a local non-profit dedicated to build and inspire students to develop and strengthen a faith of their own through a three-step process; Engage\, Connect\, and Disciple. B4TW hosts\, at no charge\, Summer Outreach Events during Field Days at local schools\, partner with local youth groups and their leaders to build and strengthen youth groups\, and offer online Better Youth Pastor courses. The yearly B4TW Youth Conference in February is the only event students pay for; many cannot afford access. The Conference helps youth build faith\, character\, and boldness to live out the Gospel daily. \nWe are partnering with Built for the Wild\, www.builtwild.org\, to raise funds to help underserved youth get the funding they need to participate in B4TW Yearly Youth Conference in February 2024. The 3rd Annual Fall Arts Festival will be bigger and better\, with more artisans\, food trucks\, live music\, and a Kid Zone with Fall Festival games\, inflatables\, hands-on craft activities\, balloon twisting\, and photos with Santa. 100% of the proceeds and donations go toward the cause.

Registration ticket includes play\, t-shirt\, and refreshments. All proceeds support Red Mountain Grace’s goal of continuing to be the best housing option for families traveling to Birmingham\, AL for unexpected\, extended medical stays. Registration and sponsorship information available at onecau.se/pickleball-palooza-23. Red Mountain Grace is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing clean\, safe\, and affordable housing to patients\, caregivers\, and families displaced to our city because of medical crises. They have welcomed over 1\,000 families since opening their doors in 2013. They serve a wide range of primary medical conditions and ages\, with over 140 families served each year.
