DESCRIPTION:The Food Festival will take place at Saint George Melkite Catholic Church\, near UAB at 425 16th Avenue South. The hours of operation are 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM. The festival offers a convenient drive through service between the hours of 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Lunch orders of $75.00 or more can be delivered to the downtown area on Thursday and Friday. Walk up ordering and outdoor seating will also be available; ordering ahead online is greatly encouraged: foodorders@saintgeorgeonline.org. \nThe menu of delicious foods include: baked Kibbee\, stuffed grape leaves\, spinach pies\, meat pies\, Falafel\, Mediterranean style chicken and more. For a taste of most everything try the Nile Plate or Oasis Plate. The Nile includes Kibbee as its entrée and the Oasis includes Mediterranean style chicken as its entrée. Both plates include rice and green beans cooked in seasoned tomato sauce\, freshly made salad\, grape leaves\, and Hummus and pita bread. All around the globe\, in every time zone\, millions of students will meet at their school’s flagpole for a time of prayer for the 31st Annual See You at the Pole (SYATP). \nSYATP is a student-initiated\, student organized and student-led event. SYATP is about one simple thing – STUDENTS in PRAYER. Before school\, tens of thousands of students locally meet together at their school’s flagpole in prayer for their friends\, families\, school\, city\, state and nation. This year’s SYATP emphasis is “Just Pray\,” taken from James 4:10 in the Bible. \nFirst Priority Greater Birmingham will once again coordinate SYATP efforts for Greater Birmingham through students gathering virtually and in-person at their school’s flagpole or at a different location on the morning of September 22\, to pray for their school\, teachers\, classmates\, community and our nation and community rallies\, planned by local First Priority student volunteers and adults\, that will be held on the evening of September 22.
