DESCRIPTION:A Day of Dialogue & Discovery-Uniting Faith-Based Community Against Sexual Violence \nSexual violence has plagued society for centuries. Currently\, the #MeToo movement and other sexual assault cases\, has shifted the culture to shed more light. It is critical to understand how to engage and act to change the culture to prevent sexual violence. We recognize that many faith-based organizations desire to help those needing support\, but may need more tools to serve and support around the issue of sexual assault.\nAll Faith-Based members and groups are invited to attend the TEAL Summit. The summit will provide Faith-Based communities with tools on prevention\, trauma-informed response\, resources and how to foster partnerships with local rape crisis centers and other experts in the field to help to cultivate a community of safety and accountability.

DESCRIPTION:Presented by Medical Properties Trust\, the BHM26.2 race series will take place Sunday\, April 14\, 2019 and will benefit Magic Moments and Children’s of Alabama. Comprised of a Full Marathon\, Half Marathon\, Marathon Relay and Fun Run\, each race will start and finish at scenic Railroad Park. BHM26.2 is the only fully charitable marathon in Alabama and provides a fresh\, new course to runners. The course takes participants past iconic Birmingham landmarks with no repeats or loops – making BHM26.2 the only non-looping Birmingham marathon. \nRunners and their friends and family will celebrate crossing the finish line at the official BHM26.2 Party of the Year After Party sponsored by Stifel from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will be entertained with live music from Party of the Year from the producers of The Black Jacket Symphony and local band August Night. DESCRIPTION:April 21 – 27\, 2019 is Parental Alienation Prevention Week and April 25\, 2019 is Parental Alienation Awareness “Bubbles For Love” Day.  “Just as bubbles flow freely\, so should the love a child has for both parents!”\n  \n “Bubbles For Love”\nWednesday\, April 25\, 2019 at Noon\nParental Alienation Awareness Day \nSponsored by Alabama Family Rights Association  \n  \nThe Alabama Family Rights Association encourage the entire state of Alabama to participate in this year’s “Parental Alienation Prevention Week and Awareness “Bubbles For Love” Day.” We would like to invite community leaders and citizens throughout Alabama to participate by planning an activity or event in your community. \n\n\n\n\nApril is Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month; a time to emphasize that our children deserve the leadership of the adults (parents\, leaders\, community) around them to ensure their health\, wellness and safety. \nThis is an important community campaign that links “Parental Alienation” with “Child Abuse” because after all\, it is a form of mental abuse that children suffer. \nShow your support for children by taking 10 minutes out of your day at noon April 25th (or any other time during the week) to blow bubbles for love. View PSA here. \nWe encourage everyone to participate: mayor’s office\, court house\, churches\, businesses\, daycare centers\, schools\, libraries\, etc.  You may also choose to display a “Tree of Love” in your place of work or business. Children should be encouraged to freely love both parents regardless of their parents’ marital status. You can also create any awareness event during April 21-27 Parental Alienation Prevention Week. \nPlease take photos of your event and activities and send us a copy or link so we can include it in our 2018 Parental Alienation Awareness Day video clip that will be provided to the governor. \nHere’s a preview of our successful event.
