SUMMARY:Sozo Children Run for a Reason 5K
DESCRIPTION:Proceeds raised will be used to support Sozo’s mission of empowering vulnerable children to become thriving leaders for Jesus Christ. The virtual 5K will be held the week of May 9-15–celebrating Sozo’s 11th anniversary on May 13\, 2010. \nWhether you plan on running the entire 5K (3.1miles)\, jogging\, walking\, skipping\, or maybe even practicing your dance walk–we hope you will join in and get moving for Sozo Children! Create your own route in your neighborhood\, at a nearby trail\, or knock it out on your treadmill. Use your favorite fitness tracker or app to track your distance. Help us share the word by nominating 5 of your friends on social media to join in on the fun! Make sure to tag @sozochildren.

SUMMARY:Free Shredding & E-Waste Recycling
DESCRIPTION:Have old electronics you need to discard? Gone For Good will be on-site from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to recycle them for free for you at the Celebrate the Family Expo on May 8\, 2021! They will also shred for free your unwanted documents. As you recycle you will also be helping to support United Ability\, formerly UCP of Greater Birmingham. Gone For Good accepts paper\, file folders\, CDs\, paperclips\, binder clips\, and staples. For electronics\, Gone For Good generally accepts computer-related items – hard drives\, flat-screen monitors\, keyboards/mice\, printers\, etc. If it’s used in a home office\, it will be accepted. Items NOT accepted include: Tubular/Projection monitors or televisions; medical equipment/waste\, including dental molds; kitchen/household appliances; medication/pill bottles; computer hard drives must be documented by a GFG staff member. Hard drives are physically shredded using an Alleghney 5HD3 machine and then recycled. Read more about Gone For Good here.
