SUMMARY:Sozo Children's Choir at Samford Wright Center
DESCRIPTION:The Sozo Children’s Choir returns to Samford’s Wright Center on March 13. This group of 13 energetic kids from Uganda\, Africa is the 5th Sozo Choir to tour America since 2016. The choir members are some of the 150 children under the care of Birmingham-based Sozo Children. Sozo is a Greek word meaning “to save or rescue” and most of the children come into the organization from extreme situations such as neglect\, abuse\, abandonment and trafficking. Sozo provides healthcare\, private schooling\, nutritional care\, counseling and safe housing to each child. The choir was founded in 2016 as a mission trip for the children to visit America where they are able to sing and dance in venues across the country\, visit with some of their sponsor families and return home knowing that their lives truly matter to the world.
