SUMMARY:3rd Annual Fall Arts Festival at Christ the King Lutheran Church\, Hoover
DESCRIPTION:Christ the King Lutheran Church is hosting the 3rd Annual Fall Arts Festival fundraiser in Hoover on September 16\, 2023 from 9 am – 5 pm. The Festival aims to showcase local artisans of original handmade work and raise funds for Built for the Wild(B4TW)\, a local non-profit dedicated to build and inspire students to develop and strengthen a faith of their own through a three-step process; Engage\, Connect\, and Disciple. B4TW hosts\, at no charge\, Summer Outreach Events during Field Days at local schools\, partner with local youth groups and their leaders to build and strengthen youth groups\, and offer online Better Youth Pastor courses. The yearly B4TW Youth Conference in February is the only event students pay for; many cannot afford access. The Conference helps youth build faith\, character\, and boldness to live out the Gospel daily. \nWe are partnering with Built for the Wild\, www.builtwild.org\, to raise funds to help underserved youth get the funding they need to participate in B4TW Yearly Youth Conference in February 2024. The 3rd Annual Fall Arts Festival will be bigger and better\, with more artisans\, food trucks\, live music\, and a Kid Zone with Fall Festival games\, inflatables\, hands-on craft activities\, balloon twisting\, and photos with Santa. 100% of the proceeds and donations go toward the cause.

DESCRIPTION:Save the date for the 4th Annual Celebrate the Family Expo on September 16 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Finley Center\, Hoover Met Complex.  \nHear stories from Brenda Gantt on the Crumbl Cookies Celebrity Chef Stage at 1 p.m.\nEnjoy extra added fun this year with a Crumbl Cookies Celebrity Chef Stage featuring founder of Ashley Mac’s\, social media sensation Danna Standridge\, BBQ Pitmaster Van Sykes\, beloved Southern cook Brenda Gantt\, Alabama author and outdoorsman Walt Merrell\, and more. Plus the Hoover Belles and Free Face Painting provided by Painted Personalities. \nThe Vapor Thrift Store Donation Truck will be at the Expo accepting donations. Click here to learn what you can donate.\nEvent favorites returning include a Kids’ Zone with inflatables provided by the River of Life Church\, the Chick-fil-A Herd\, the Birmingham Bulls Torro\, live music by Kevin Derryberry\, and free shredding and electronic recycling provided by Gone for Good (a program of United Ability) from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The Vapor Thrift Store Donation Truck will be onsite accepting donations including gently used clothes\, shoes\, household goods\, and collectibles. \nDance with the Chick-fil-A Herd!\nThe Alabama Wildlife Center staff will also be onsite with several of their feathered friends.  Gospel singer\, American Idol contestant and founder of God Did It ministries\, Sanchez Tanniehill will be on hand to share his miraculous life story and sign copies of his book God Did It. \nLook for the Gone For Good truck on at the Expo from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.\nNever attended before?
