# A Family Favorite: ChelseaFest & the Big KaBoom

**Are We There Yet?**

Looking for some great family fun? You don’t want to miss the City of Chelsea’s Annual ChelseaFest and the Big KaBoom. The free event takes place on [Saturday, June 27, 2026](https://birminghamchristian.com/event/chelseafest-the-big-kaboom/) in a new location, 271 County Road 440 and Highway 280 next to Metro Truck Rental. You will find plenty of public parking adjacent to the event entrance.

Fireworks music simulcast on KOOL 96.9 FM.The fun begins at 6pm. Enjoy a Kid Zone, vendors, food trucks and one of the largest fireworks shows in Alabama. Live music starts at 7pm with the Vinyl Junkies Band known for bringing high energy entertainment and a “wow” factor that makes crowds stay, dance, and sing along. The band’s music list spans 10 decades- mixing inventive arrangements, danceable grooves, and standout songs you won’t hear every other band play. Backed by seasoned, professional musicians with experience sharing stages with major artists—including Lady A, Darius Rucker, and Mother’s Finest, [thevinyljunkiesband.com](http://thevinyljunkiesband.com).

There will be a variety of food trucks in attendance and there will be tents, tables and chairs nearby where you can enjoy your dinner. You can also bring blankets and make it a picnic. You can also stroll through Vendor Alley where you will find local vendors, churches and businesses. The fireworks begin promptly at 9 p.m. and will be synchronized to music simulcast by radio station KOOL 96.9 FM.
